About Me

Shaghayegh, pronounced /ʃæɣɒːˈjeɣ/, means red poppy in Persian (Farsi). It is a symbol of love and resistance in the Persian Literature. Since it could be a little bit tricky to pronounce, I go by Shay, /ʃeɪ/, here among my English-speaking friends.

I am a mathematics graduate student at Stanford University advised by Prof. Madeleine Udell. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in pure mathematics from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. My current fields of interest are Physics-informed Deep Learning, optimization, and SciML.
