Shaghayegh, pronounced /ʃæɣɒːˈjeɣ/, means red poppy in Persian (Farsi). It is a symbol of love and resistance in the Persian Literature. Since it could be a little bit tricky to pronounce, I go by Shay, /ʃeɪ/, here among my English-speaking friends.
